Why wont my turntable play the audio?
I have an old FISHER MT-30 Semi-Automatic turntable. Recently I had to replace the stylus(ST-29D) on it and ever since then it has stopped playin through my entertainment system. I did not mess with any of the audio cables only the weight and stylus on it. When it plays you can hear the sound come from the disc but when you you listen to th speakers on the entertainment system you can just barely hear anything (you have to get right up to the speaker) even on max audio. I have tried switchin the audio cables to a different port and it still barely plays. Does anyone know what is wrong or have any sugggestions? Im wondering if its not the audio cables on it.

P.S.: Everything on it is original except the belt and now the stylus.
yes I do have the audio cables hooked up right.
The connection at the stylus is not totally together. Take the stylus off, and clean the connectors. Make sure all the wires are in good shape. Carefully push the needle assembly back onto the arm. (You might not be fully pushed onto the arm). If this doesn't work, you may need some wiring help from a professional.
