Does anyone out there know why a belt driven turntable will sometimes speed up for no obvious reason???
Sounds like your drive is full of crud. Try wiping an alchohol soaked q-tip over the drive post on the motor under the turntable. They get quite a build up as the belt wears away with use. Oh yeah, you'll definitely want to change the belt as well. Better yet, take you turntable to a qualified techincian and let him to it. He can also calibrate your turntable while he's at it.
