What are the best in-wall 6.5in surround speakers to use in a basement without breaking the bank?
Looking for a good rear surround sound speaker to complete a home theater surround sound system as I finish my basement.
Best to try and match your fronts and middle (same brand) with your rears. If that is not possible you don't want to overpower your rears with what you have up front. Jamo is another brand that you might check out. JBL offer a wide range of choices as well and they are known for packing some good punch. I used Polks in a room a couple of years ago and they were surprisingly good for the price. A little pricey but I have found Totems to be excellent and they are what I have currently. Work well for movies and also for music. For built in speakers (6.5 and 8 inch) I have used Elan and I can vouch for their solid performance.
