Im buying a wrangler and i want a decent sound system in it. If I take it offroad do i need marine speakers?
Ive been told the inside of a Wrangler is waterproof/made so you can wash it out. If I want to take a jeep offroad or possibly wash it out do I need marine speakers inside it so they are waterproof?
Although most jeeps are very rugged,I wouldn't wash out the inside.This can cause corrosion and electrical problems.A good shop vac. and some spray cleaner will normaly do.As for the speakers,If your going to ford water of any significant depth,you may want to up grade to marine speakers.You may also want to seal any body grommets around wires with a good RTV.
