If I connect my powered sub to the battery, connect the ground, and just use the RCA ports, will it work?

or will i have to splice into the front speakers?
I ordered the BOSS audio 8 gauge kit
and my sub is a powered sub woofer.Kenwood KSC-SW10.
my truck is a 1990 Chevy C1500 single cab.
and the blue power wire.
will that be all i need?

Yes it will work fine hooked up to the RCA 's you do NOT need to splice the front
